  1. You're right Rainbow, assuming she said, "get a bucket, Pascal" would be absurd! Who names a pony, Pascal, anyways?
  2. Think it's just that vid? I did too, so I looked up another video... Roughly the same timestamp, 11 Secs... http://youtu.be/dC9aeXfNh4M Also, just a few seconds prior, Scootaloo is wingless, but who cares about that, when we have glorious swearing...? Thoughts? Edit: Links were not working... Inb4 this is used for Sweetie's rage in VSP. LOL, shows how much PC gaming I have got in during the past three years, eh? XD
  3. "Rascal"... Uh-huh, sure...whatever you say...
  4. Well, now... This was a surprise. So FiM is supposed to be a kids show? Listen to the CMC, Sweetie Belle to be precicse, right about 14 Sec, just prior to her hopping next to Fluttershy... I had to listen to it a half-dozen times, because I couldn't believe it. She Says; Think it's just that vid? I did too, so I looked up another video... Roughly the same timestamp, 11 Secs... http://youtu.be/dC9aeXfNh4M Also, just a few seconds prior, Scootaloo is wingless, but who cares about that, when we have glorious swearing...? Thoughts? 5. Well, of my 203 'Favorites' on FiMFiction.net, discounting my own stories of course... Here is a list of some of my favorites, in no particular order... One shots Celestia Help the Outcasts (A Chrysalis based Tragedy piece. I won't say any more, lest I ruin it!) To be Remembered (An ancient civilization older than Celestia? Twilight Sparkle and Spike get a little more than they expected...) Understanding Eternity ("Ponies need to die, just like people, or the effects become poisonous..." Yep a true, classic tragedy. Epic ending!) The Ugly Alicorn - Narrated by Morgan Freeman (Ever wondered where all those Red and Black Alicorns come from?) The Bitterness of Mortality (Shining Armor dies and a new alicorn is born.) Pink With Your Heart (Pinkie Pie falls in love.) A Wish (Twilight Learns one of the hardest lessons of life...) Let Them Remember us as Monsters ("Let Equestria remember us as monsters." Never forget...) The Final Symphony (Octavia plays one final symphony, to honor her late love...) Series Flitter (A changeling comedy, with romance, adventure and philosophy. That's the simple version. The long version...well...) On a Cross and an Arrow (Canon, rule 63...Rule 63, canon. Have fun you two!) Prances with Ponies (A human in Equestria, with a twist. Ponies don't speak English!) The Dread Chitin (Twilight and RD end up on an alien world...) Anthology of Interest (Twilight invents the wonderful and revolutionary hoof-longer...also there is a 'what-if' machine.) Let the Silence Sing (A BigCelestia fic. But the first words aren't spoken until the final chapter! An excellent ship-fic, even if you don't care for ship-fics!) Chaotic Harmony (Shirotora is a human...no a pony...no a tiger? Why must I be so confused!? Oh, he is a chaos mage? That makes sense. Except for one thing... What's a chaos mage?) NSFW Series Twilight and the Spartan Stallion [Violence + Language + Adult Situations] (Twilight breaks a statue in a museum and well, this statue was not made of stone...well not quite!) Beating the Heat [suggestive Themes + Language] (The Elements of Harmony learn that there are some side effects to their powers...Shenanigans ensue!) Xenophilia [sex] (Now, I know what a lot of you are thinking; "Clop, eww..." Seriously, before you denounce all clop, here is a story that is more than just; unf, unf, done. It's a serious look at comparative Human-Pony culture, among other things...Read it, you'll thank me later!)
  6. I love little girls.

Glad I'm not the only one.

  7. Alright, I'm a horrible liar and I'm responding one more time. So sue me! :P
  8. Alright BrilliantTempest, this is the last response you'll get from me. I don't much care for your attitude. I don't much care for your method of 'debate'. Finally, I don't much care what you think of me at this point. I tried being respectful and civil, and just because I have criticisms of a show I love, does not mean that I am "Spoiled", "Ungrateful", nor does it mean that I am spouting "vitriolic, doom-and-gloom rubbish" or making "hasty, unfounded arguments" just because you do not like my opinions. I think that I represented my opinions in a well thought-out, well explained fashion. Further more, I think that I presented my present skepticism over the current direction of the show in a respectful way, if not slightly sarcastic I admit, without over-reacting, or claiming that the "Show was ruined"... Finally, I know that the writers don't have to do what I want, they have to do what their employers ask of them. However, nor do I have to accept without criticism everything they place before me. If I do not like something, I have the right and privilege of respectfully stating my opinions in an open forum of my peers, because I live in a 'free society' and not a country like China, or North Korea... I suppose what I'm saying in summation is thus; You have the right to call me a brat if you want, but I am the gentleman that will not stoop to such a level and retort likewise. Have a nice day.
  9. Meghan McCarthy has stated that she views this episode as the first of a three-parter, so I wouldn't be slagging it off on that basis just yet. It's true that they were forced to cram the entire ascension thing into a single episode, but by the looks of it we haven't quite seen the end of it. So I can hope for two more rushed episodes? Luna, would you care to present our response? Forgive me if I look away while you utterly rape logic and common sense. There is absolutely no reason to believe that the first two episodes of next season will be rushed. For the finale of Season 3 the writers were forced, directly or not, to cram what should have been at least a two-parter into a single episode. To fix it, they're going to use the first two episodes of next season to (hopefully) clarify and expand upon the idea. I would've thought that the appropriate reaction would be "well that's something", not juvenile, pessimistic whinging. Well, aside from the blatant rudeness within, which I don't much appreciate...I do believe that there is precedence to worry about Season 4 being rushed. I think that Sir Robin said it well; much of Season 3 seemed rushed. Unlike in previous seasons, I only really enjoyed two episodes, half of the season was alright, and the remaining half was mediocre, mostly because it felt rushed. So, why should I expect Season 4 to be any different?
  10. Obvious, but not clear? That sounds like an oxymoron... Funny, though hindsight is 20/20, I don't see it. To me, this just looks like another crappy ploy to sell more merchandise. Hell, her brother wasn't even mentioned until I don't know...the episode he was to appear! But all Deus Ex Machina aside, I didn't see any forewarning of her impending change, until 54 episodes in. That tiara business is coincidence at best, or really, really crappy foreshadowing, and I have more faith in the writers than that. Let me leave this right here for your consideration... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KCW7N2NGiM&list=LLT3UcGQiwirjNdV_Z3g9ONQ "Immortality is nothing but a curse, veiled in sweet, romantic words...." ~ Jack, on his 'condition'.
  11. That's my OC in a nutshell. An alicorn that has lost everything; his horn, his wings, his home, his crown. He is practically a ghost, literally a non-pony in the eyes of the crown. Also, he is a regenerative immortal - he can die, but his body will simply heal/ reform itself. Kinda sucks if you think about it...
  12. Alright. Nine hours of sleep, a few hours of reflection and another watch of the finale have lead me to this conclusion. The Episode sucks. Now before you stop reading, hear me through... I dislike Alicorn-Twilight for the same reason that I dislike Cadence and Shining Armor being together. As immortals, they will not age and fade like mortals will. Cadence will loose her love to the slow, creeping death that is time - or other less savory means - and Twilight will loose all her friends in the same manner. For us mortals, learning this lesson is more about letting go. For an immortal, the question becomes, "Is the pleasure worth the pain?" since you of course know that you will outlive everyone... That said, I am not opposed to the change itself. It's more a concern for the character than anything. Personally, the way the writing staff handled the change was interesting and (somewhat) original, almost like in Hellenistic mythology? The idea that a mortal can be given demi-god status, and that in a pantheon that there is a clear hierarchy of the gods (which we can clearly see in episode(s)). Mostly, the thing that ruffles my jimmies is that they rushed this episode too damned much. Way too much. There is easily a two, or even three part episode in here, story-wise. Instead, we get one. I blame Hasbro for that, not the writers. The writers were handed a pile of equine manure and told to make a gem. Well, they tried their best, but "Polish a turd, it's still a turd."
  13. I think this pretty much sums up my thoughts at the moment...Too tired to formulate coherent rage. (24 of the last 96 hours have been driving for me... More even, seeing as I was carpooling several hours Sat/Sun on top of that too!) ...However, I will admit that it will likely take a few days for my rage to build to critical mass. Then you shall enjoy a thoroughly coherent rant on why this whole Ep is a complete load of Equine manure!
  14. Thank you, I think you summarized my thoughts exactly. I will still watch the episode, but if a goddess doesn't die to give Twilight her powers, or some other world altering crap, I am going to be royally pissed. I don't want a bunch of god-ponies walking around. I conceded that Cadence existed, under the assumption that she's just a winged-unicorn, and not a full-fledged goddess...but seriously, this is getting lame. Why is everyone becoming winged-unicorns!? What's next? Big Mac as an winged-unicorn? No thank you! TL;DR: I am praying that they pull this off right, but planning on them failing spectacularly...
