  1. I have a feeling that the previous post wasn't meant to be taken seriously in its entirety
  2. Isn't this disabled on Valve servers because of sv_pure? Personally, I think a better way to increase your performance is using modified configs, so that you can play on all servers Thanks for the information though
  3. Doesn't the way 90 ping affect you depend on your netconfig?
  4. Honestly I agree with Steam's suggestion, I don't think it's a good idea to try to cater to anyone outside North America, unless the vanilla server gets popular enough and EU players start asking for a vanilla server. Also, my decision to opt for a Texas server is under the assumption that there are more players from the Western Half of the US than in Europe, although as User said above, we should probably get some statistics to either prove or disprove that claim. One last note from earlier in the thread:
  5. I think that some of the lag on the servers can be attributed to the VSP Mod and other plugins that a nearly stock server would not have. I have played on the main VSP server (I live in New York) and I have experienced small amounts of lag, but nothing that would damage gameplay, although keep in mind I'm running Chris' netconfig
  6. As much as I would like a server in New Jersey/New York, I can see why the vanilla server is probably going to be in Texas, as others have said it's probably the best spot for American players. As for the EU players, if the Texas vanilla server proves popular enough then maybe an EU vanilla server could be considered.
  7. I'm pretty sure that you haven't been around PF2 long enough to make such a statement. I haven't either, but that's precisely why I don't say things like that
  8. Personally I believe that everyone should be allowed to play in a pub, whether you take the game seriously or not

    2. Simple

Shoehorning "competitive" into a game in which the weapon balance is designed around random crits is pretty silly

    3. Steamworks

A game that's getting official competitive matchmaking very soon with weapon balances coming afterwards.

      Zari Puff

If everyone plays in a pub, everyone will get drunk.

  9. It may sound like a good idea, but that doesn't mean it was executed well and (correct me if I'm wrong) it wasn't executed well.
  10. You know you could always coordinate with your team to make an uber push or two out of spawn. Then again I can see why your average player wouldn't take the time and effort to do this.
  11. No problem, take as much time as you need
  12. Maybe you guys should consider extending that functionality to apply for some bind that are frequently spamed, should the need call for it
  13. I've been on the servers a good bunch and I have witnessed this. What about implementing some sort of system where certain phrases are blacklisted from being said in chat and those who do either get a friendly reminder not to use that in chat or just kick them. Although I can see how this seems like a bad idea, as there are too many different binds to keep track of
  14. This, but it is kinda inconvenient to do if multiple people are spamming binds Also, I am guilty of using binds from time to time, sorry
  15. Look if you don't want to hear cussing over mic you have a couple options -You could mute the person(s) talking, by the way when you mute someone, you mute them in the text chat as well -You could disable voice entirely -You could play some music in the background and lower the volume of TF2 Ultimately, it's your choice on what server you play on, if you don't like the fact that certain people on a server are cussing, then leave the server and come back later.
