  1. If nothing else, its worth reading it for that one guy in the comments that takes it seriously.
  2. Steam has now featured it's support for Linux by making a version on that OS. And of course given my curiosity, I'd figure I'd give it a go. And holy hell I had no idea as to how much of a casual I am when it comes to PC. So now I musk as this community: How does one set up Ubuntu to where you can do the boot with the dual OS? If anything, how would I move Steam onto folders that would support it while I am in the "Try Ubuntu" mode, right before I download it?
  3. alright so after the moderate success of my last give away i decided to do another. This time im giving away a gift code for the humble bundle for the next 2 weeks. This includes the following: The Binding of Isaac + Wrath of the Lamb DLC Closure Indie Game: The Movie Shank 2 Snapshot Dungeon Defenders + All DLC Legend of Grimrock the full package is worth about $68 and it includes the soundtracks for each game. Same rules apply as last time. Make sure your computer can run it before you enter. All you have to do is reply if i see that you have replied more than once you will be disqualified. And remember, don't be a Trixie. If you win don't gloat. GOOD LUCK. o ya you have until monday 12:00 am EST.
  4. http://store.steampowered.com/ Lessee... I recommend Mirror's Edge, but nothing else specifically interesting to me. You may find Natural Selection 2 ($10) fun; it's a very tactical FPS/RTS by an indie company.

  6. I join steam Chats everyday for hours and it seems that chat quality on the Steam Ponyville Chat is deteriorating. It's become a breeding group for shitposting, Gore and other bad RP and plain bad trolling. I spoke to a mod about this and he said complain on the forums http://imgur.com/W7E8k There is a lack of Steam Chat mods that are actually on chat which i respect have lives, but if they can't devote time to the chat, then why be a moderator? Each day i find a violation of the rule i will add. Sorry if I come off as unpleasant, but negligence is not acceptable Day 1 http://i.imgur.com/STnJ7.png Spamming and Mod didn't kick ban him since Cloud killer is still in the chat http://pastebin.com/Ba2gxP1K Here's a Chat example
  7. Okay, so when I bought my laptop last year, I wasn't much of a PC Gamer at all. So naturally, I didn't foresee needing quite as much storage space as I do now. My laptop's C drive only has about 120 GB of space remaining (after doing a disc cleanup), but I bought close to 100 GB of games in the Steam sale. Since I can see myself buying a lot more games in the future, I decided the best option would be to get an external HDD and keep Steam and all of my games on there. I've already done most of the research, but I was wondering if anyone here has done this or just had any advice? I'm still not particularly computer savvy and I like to have as much information as I can before doing anything like this.
  8. "I sometimes feel as if I’ve given birth to this island. Somewhere, between the longitude and latitude a split opened up and it beached remotely here." Dear Esther is a mod-turned-title by indie developer thechineseroom. Instead of flooding the market with more violence and generic shooting games, this developer decided to go beyond that and provide a surprisingly rich and atmospheric narrative-driven experience for one's pleasure. "I could stumble blind across these rocks, the edges of these precipices, without fear of missing my step and plummeting down to sea." The gameplay of Dear Esther consists of wandering about an island and listening to the rather cryptic musings of a man alone on an island. There's not much to it, and it probably won't appeal to a lot of mainstream gamers nowadays, especially at the walking pace you're stuck moving at, but this game isn't about how fast you can beat the game and thechineseroom knew that. Anyone can attest to finding a beautiful scene out in the real world, but who would want to just run by that? "The mount is clearly the focal point of this landscape; it almost appears so well placed as to be artificial." Speaking of beautiful scenes, the graphics have been improved I'd dare say 100-fold since its days as a Half-Life 2 mod. It's well-deserved too. Everything was meticulously crafted to give the game that eery calm that the game was and is all about. From big changes like fog and world lighting to the way light bounces off rocks in caves, nothing was spared in making this game look as beautiful as it is.
  9. Several friends and I on ponyville have gotten together to play a certain multiplayer game of our choosing. (Considering we all have it) A game that we all play and benefit from each other, like Killing Floor. So why not have other people in this as well? Maybe you can find a group that you can play with or go with us on one of our crazy adventures. Current games we are running, and have done: Killing Floor TF2 (Of course) L4D Borderlands --Want to do Magicka --Want to do Alien Swarm (it's free) Post what multiplayer game you have and would like to play. Hopefully you'll find other people who have the same and get you a group going. We also use the Ponyville Vent when we're playing a game together.
  10. Howdy everypony! I got Left 4 Dead (and L4D2) recently and want to start playing online. I'd love to play with you all! Anyone who's played with me on the TF2 server knows I'm not awesome at FPS but I figure a Ponyville zombie massacre will be fun regardless. So, anyone up for a campaign or versus sometime? My Steam ID is Adamantiumspork. See you all online!
